Passing Year: SSC 1963. Tenure: 1985-1986, 1987-1988 & 2010-2011. A career diplomat, he was for 36 years with the Government and retired in 2007. During his long career he was Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore (1996-2001), Ambassador to Germany (2001-2004) and Ambassador to China (2004-2007). He was also a senior diplomat in Moscow, Stockholm, Teheran and London. Before that he belonged to the erstwhile Civil service of Pakistan (CSP) and served in several administrative posts. He was elected three times as the President of EXSAACSC for the terms 1985-86, 1987-1988 & 2010-2011.
